Workshop · Ideas Cartel, Claremont

Claude for
entrepreneurs.

You've tried AI. It was underwhelming. You went back to doing the work yourself. Three hours, your laptop, one job you actually hate — you leave with it running.

Founding cohort R3,500 instead of R4,950. The first two runs go out at the founding rate. In exchange I ask for honest feedback and, if it earned it, a testimonial.

The deliverable

What you walk
out with.

Six things, running, on your own machine.

  • A Project that knows your business
  • Live data — Workspace, Xero or M365
  • One real artefact, built in the room
  • A Skill that repeats your process
  • One job running on a schedule
  • 14-day call and 30-day review

What you'll build

Things you could make
before lunch.

Nobody builds the same thing. These are the jobs that come up most — pick one and we'll get it running.

Money

  • A 5-year cashflow model — the one I charge R15,000 to build
  • Your month-end pack, rebuilt from source
  • Margin analysis by product, channel or customer

Selling

  • An automated sales funnel — lead in, researched, followed up
  • An investor deck you can defend in the room
  • Quotes and proposals on your template

Running the place

  • KPI tracking that chases the team for the number, not you
  • A Monday 07:00 brief that writes itself
  • The SOPs you've never written down

Tools

  • A custom dashboard for your venture, live on your own numbers
  • A pricing calculator your team can use without you
  • A one-page site for a deck or a campaign

Real files and live links — spreadsheets, decks, documents. No developers, nothing to install.

And once you can do that

  • A WhatsApp agent taking first contact, drafts held for your approval
  • Customer relationships run by exception
  • Recruitment screened against your actual scorecard
  • Resource and roster optimisation across sites, people and stock
  • A review cycle that summarises itself

Started on the day, built out over the 30. Nobody finishes these in an afternoon — mine took a lot longer.

The run sheet

Three hours,
published in full.

Most of the value in a workshop is whether it was planned properly. Here is the whole thing — roughly a quarter teaching, the rest you, doing it.

  1. 00:00 12′

    Setup and triage

Logged in, on the desktop app. Problems solved now, not at minute 90.

  2. 00:12 13′

    Name the job

Eight jobs on the whiteboard. That list is the spine of the session.

  3. 00:25 20′

    Briefing, not prompting

Rewrite your worst prompt as a proper brief. Watch what changes.

  4. 00:45 30′

    Build the business brain

A real Project — your documents, your numbers, your standards.

  5. 01:15 15′

    Break

Fifteen minutes. The café is downstairs.

  6. 01:30 30′

    Point it at real data

Connect Workspace, M365 or Xero. Ask about your own numbers.

  7. 02:00 35′

    Delegate the job

Hand over the job you named. Get back a spreadsheet, a deck, a document.

  8. 02:35 15′

    Make it repeat

Turn what worked into a Skill. Put it on a schedule.

  9. 02:50 10′

    Commit and close

One thing you'll do by Friday. We book the 14-day call in the room.

Before and after

The room is only
a third of it.

Most training evaporates inside a fortnight. So the week before and the month after are in the seat price, not an upsell.

Before · the week ahead of it

  1. 7 days before

Set up Claude on the web and install the desktop app. I send exact instructions, including the South African card gotchas.

  2. 5 days before

Claude 101 — Anthropic's own free course, about an hour. This is what buys us the right to skip the basics.

  3. 3 days before

One question: which recurring task eats the most time? I read all eight answers and build the session around them.

  4. The day before

Bring a laptop, a charger, and one real, messy file. Not a tidy example.

After · included, not extra

  1. Day 1

Asset pack — your Project template, the Skill you built, my prompt library.

  2. Day 14

A 60-minute group call. One win and one blocker each. This is the call that decides whether it sticks.

  3. Day 30

    A written review — what's working, what isn't, what's next.

Who it's for

  • Owners running 5–50 person teams, still doing work a system should do
  • Executives who keep hearing about AI in board meetings and want to use it
  • Founders drowning in admin instead of building
  • Anyone who tried ChatGPT, found it underwhelming, and quietly stopped

Who it's not for

  • Developers. No terminal, no code, no API.
  • Anyone wanting a lecture on what AI means for the economy.
  • People who won't do the pre-work. Eight seats is too few.

Eight seats.
That's it.

Every person in the room brings one real job from their own business, and we get it running before you leave. At twenty people that's a lecture. At eight it stays a workshop — which is the whole point, and the reason it isn't cheap.
